Secure a test in Blackboard

This article describes how to secure an test with Schoolyear in Blackboard through the integration.

Please note: Blackboard makes a distinction in the menu between 'Tests' and 'Assignments'. 'Tests' and 'Assignments' are set up in the same way and have the same functionalities. Wherever 'Tests' is mentioned in these instructions, you should also read 'Assignments'.

 Step-by-step guide:

1. Open your Blackboard environment and navigate to your course.
    
2. Create a test or navigate to an existing test.
    
3. Make sure that you set the correct end date & release conditions in the settings of the test. These settings determine the timeslots that are communicated to Schoolyear.
    
4. After saving the test, navigate to the setting of the test.
    
5. Navigate to the section Assessment security in the settings pane that opened in the previous step. 
   
    
6. Click on Configure proctoring settings.
   
    
7. Click on the button next to Turn on proctoring.
   
    
8. Click Enable Schoolyear.
   
    
9. The settings widget of Schoolyear will be displayed.
   
    

10. click Save.
