This article explains how to deliver a secure, application-based digital exam in WISEflow using
Schoolyear. While WISEflow does not have a direct integration with Schoolyear, exams can be secured by
creating a Safe Exam Workspace session and configuring the appropriate settings.
Before you begin
- The exam must be created in WISEflow
- Access to the Schoolyear dashboard is required
Step 1: Create a flow in Wiseflow
- Create the exam in WISEflow as usual
- For more information visit the Wiseflow Service Center.
Step 2: Create a Safe Exam Workspace session
- Log in at the Schoolyear Dashboard with your user account.
- Under the 'Plan with Schoolyear' section, select the Wiseflow tile.
- If you don't see this tile, contact your Schoolyear Admin or follow these steps on how to create a whitelist tile for Wiseflow.
- Follow the stepper to create a Safe Exam Workspaces session with the correct settings.

- Once you have selected the correct settings, click "create" to generate your Safe Exam Workspace Session.
- You will now receive the students instructions on screen. Note down the exam code and share this with the students, so that they can start the Safe Exam Workspace session. Learn more about the students perspective in this article: Start an exam by using an exam code
How to create a whitelist tile for WiseFlow
Note: You require Admin rights to perform this stepIn case there is no whitelist tile for Wiseflow available yet, your Schoolyear Admin can create one in the Schoolyear Admin Console. Follow the steps below to create this tile:
- Navigate to the Schoolyear Admin Console.
- Navigate to the add-on section.
- Click +Add and select Whitelist tile
- Name the tile "Wiseflow"
- Fill in a description (optional)
- Add your Wiseflow login page as the first URL and click add. This will now be become the start page.
- Add all the extra URLs that are required. Most often, you should all the URLs of the SSO-provider that you use to log in to Wiseflow.
- Often these are URLs like: https://login.microsoftonline.com/
- Once all the URLs are mapped click Add. The whitelist tile will now be visible.
