In the Schoolyear admin console, you can configure the notification settings for your organization. This allows admins to set the default language for communication and to subscribe additional non-user email addresses.
You can find the notification settings by following these instructions:
- Log in to the Schoolyear Dashboard > Click on your name at the top right > select admin console > select notification settings.
General:
In this section, you can select the default language for your organization. Every user will by default receive notifications in this language unless a user chooses a different language themselves or if a subscription is not available in this language.
Other recipients:
In this section, you can set which non-users should also receive notifications by email. Examples are often generic inboxes such as digitalexams@example.com or privacy@example.com
Note: every user can manage their own preferences via their own profile.

Using the 'Add recipient' button you can set the following:
- Email: to which email address the notification should be sent
- Preferred language: select in which language notifications should be delivered
- Subscribed topics: for which topics an email should be sent.
Once you have added a recipient, you will see them back in the overview. Under "Actions" you can always change or delete the preferences for the recipient.
