In the admin console, under Organization settings, you can configure some generic settings for the institution’s Schoolyear account. The following settings can be configured:
Auto delete exams
- Navigate to Schoolyear.com and click on 'Log in'.
- Go to the profile icon in the top right corner and select 'Admin console', then click on Organization settings in the left menu bar.
- Here, you can activate the toggle to automatically delete exams. In addition, you can specify how many days after an exam, the data will be automatically deleted.
- Click on Save.
Workspace Authentication
For every Schoolyear session, a unique workspace is created for a student. To link this workspace to a specific student, authentication is required. This setting lets you configure whether workspace authentication is enforced by default. You can also determine whether users are allowed to override this setting per exam. Schoolyear recommends always requiring workspace authentication.
- Require workspace authentication: Set the default for your organization.
- On: workspace authentication is automatically enabled for every exam.
- Off: workspace authentication is automatically disabled for every exam.
- This option can be overridden per exam: determine whether users may deviate from the default.
- On: the user may override the default for each individual exam.
- Off: the default is always enforced.

Global whitelist
In case URLs are required for every Schoolyear session, you can add these URLs to the global whitelist. These URLs do not have to be added manually to Schoolyear sessions anymore.
Caution: This means these URLs can be accessed for every Schoolyear session.
Make sure to only allow URLs that should be available for each exam. Steps:
- Navigate to Schoolyear.com and click on 'Log in'.
- Go to the profile icon in the top right corner and select 'Admin console', then click on Organization settings in the left menu bar.
- Add a URL and select of only the page or the whole domain may be used.
- Click save. The global whitelist will now be applied for all the future sessions.
