If an institute uses managed Chromebooks, they can configure Schoolyear on the devices. To learn how to do this, see this article.
Once Schoolyear is installed on the managed Chromebooks, a tile overview will be shown automatically when opening the Schoolyear app. See the image below for an example:
Banner
In the top of the tile overview, a logo is displayed. By default, this is the Schoolyear logo. In case you want to replace this logo with a custom image, this is possible in the admin console under Branding.
Tiles
The first tile that is displayed on the Chromebook is always the exam code tile. This tile will be used once an exam code is created from the Schoolyear dashboard.
The rest of the tile can be configured by the institution via de admin console. When you create an add-on in the admin console, a tile will be created automatically. If there is an image available for the add-on, it will be displayed here as well. In case you want to overwrite the displayed icon, you are able to change this.
Follow these steps to change the icons per add-on:
- Navigate to the admin console and open the add-on you want to change.
- Navigate to the Tumbnail option. The current logo displayed on the tile overview will be shown here.
- Click on "change tumbnail"
- Upload the icon that you want to display for this add-on and click save.
- The tile overview on the Chromebook will be updated automatically.
