No tiles visible on the Chromebook
Once you have installed Schoolyear on the Chromebooks, a tile overview should appear when launching the Schoolyear app. If no tiles are visible, the JSON file may not have been correctly applied during the configuration process. Check whether you have added the JSON file from the Schoolyear admin console in the correct location.
Error message: This Chromebook is not managed by your organisation
The exam is likely not being started correctly. On a Chromebook, you must always first go to the Schoolyear kiosk app and select the desired exam environment via the tile overview. See also Starting Schoolyear on a managed Chromebook.
Error message: Your organisation does not support managed Chromebooks
The exam was started via the tile overview, but the Chromebook configuration was not set up correctly. This is likely due to the JSON file not being applied correctly during the configuration steps. Verify that you have added the JSON file from the Schoolyear admin console in the correct location.

The webclient doesn not support Local Input Method Editor (IME)
For AVD exams to work correctly on Chromebooks, the proper keyboard layout must be configured for the Kiosk app. You can check this here: Devices → Chrome → Settings → Device → Kiosk allowed input methods.
The most common layout in the Netherlands is English (US), which must be listed among the selected languages. If this is not configured correctly, certain characters on the keyboard may not work (e.g., " or ^).
Note: this only applies for exams where you want to use Secure Apps via Schoolyear AVD and does not apply for regular exams without AVD.
