To use Schoolyear on your Windows device, you have to install the application once.  Follow the Step-by-step guide to install Schoolyear on your machine. 

Step-by-step guide:

1. Go to the website: https://exams.schoolyear.app/pre-onboarding/ and sign in with your school account.
2. Once you are logged in, click the “Download now” button.
   • TIP: If you have installed Schoolyear before, you can directly click “Launch” (or go to step 6)
     
3. Click on the downloaded file and select Open file to install the Schoolyear application.
    
4. Click on Yes to install the Schoolyear application. 
   
   
5. You will now get a pop-up of the Schoolyear application that it's successfully installed.
    
6. Go back to the browser and click "Launch Schoolyear"
   
    
7. Click “Open” in the pop-up. 
   • TIP: Select the checkbox to skip this step in the future.
      
8. The Schoolyear application will now open. Click “Launch your Workspace.”
    
9. You are now logged out of Windows. When you log back in Windows, the Schoolyear secure environment will start immediately.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
10. When you open the secure Schoolyear environment you arrive at the check page. The checks per item are done automatically. Afterwards you will automatically proceed to the exam.

11. Schoolyear will now start. You can close Schoolyear using the red button in the bottom-right corner. 
    You are ready for your exam!
