Roles during implementation

Several people within the institution are involved in implementing Schoolyear. Below you will find an explanation of the roles, tasks and responsibilities that we commonly see.

Roles at central level:

Strategic contact

• Is involved in establishing contractual agreements.
• is often a project manager for an overarching process, such as Digital Examinations.

Examinations office and committee

• Is responsible for safeguarding the quality of examinations.
• Is responsible for handling any cases of fraud during and after the examination.

Pilot project manager

• Has an overview of the pilot’s planning and progress.
• Often has a temporary role.
• Acts as the institution’s main contact for Schoolyear during the pilot.

Functional application administrator

• Manages Schoolyear and/or multiple applications for the institution.
• Assists with setting up API integrations in examination applications.
• Carries out functional tests after integrations have been implemented.
• Often remains the main contact for Schoolyear after the pilot.

Technical workplace administrator

• Is responsible for rolling out the application on managed computers.
• can carry out system tests for new Schoolyear releases (has access to the beta environment).
