Sometimes students (especially international students) bring a laptop that meets the Schoolyear computer requirements, but their laptop has different keyboard settings than the standard laptops in the Netherlands. Fortunately, multiple possibilities are available to adjust the keyboard settings during a Schoolyear exam.
Step-by-step (Windows 10)
Option 1:
- Use the key combination Ctrl + Alt + Del. A menu will open in the lower right corner of the screen.
- In the menu you can adjust the language and/or the type of keyboard.
Option 2:
- Use the key combination of 'Windows icon' + 'space'. A menu will open.
- In this menu you can adjust the language and/or the type of keyboard. Note: When you choose to change the keyboard no confirmation appears on the screen.
Step-by-step (Windows 11)
Option 1:
- Use the key combination 'Ctrl' + 'Alt' + 'Del'
- Use the key combination of 'Windows icon' + 'space'. A menu will open.
- In this menu you can adjust the language and/or the type of keyboard.
Option 2:
- Use the key combination Ctrl + Alt + Del.
- Click 'lock' and click on the screen. A menu will open in the lower right corner of the screen.
- In the menu you can adjust the language and/or the type of keyboard.
Step-by-step (macOS)
There are no ways to change the keyboard settings during your exam. Make sure you change the keyboard settings via the macOS 'Preferences' menu before your exam starts.
